Find a beacon
Beacons mark real places: a park, a town square, a main street. Each one glows brighter as people pray there. Tap one to learn about it, and the radar shows those within 5 km.
COVR is a map of the places where people pause to pray: the park, the hospital, the main street. Go there, pray, and watch the shared light grow across your community.
What is God doing around you? Every neighbourhood has places at its heart: the main street, the park, the square where people gather. COVR helps you find them, go there, and pray.
How it works
01
Beacons mark real places: a park, a town square, a main street. Each one glows brighter as people pray there. Tap one to learn about it, and the radar shows those within 5 km.
02
COVR asks you to pray in person. Tap Guide me there for walking directions, and the Pray button lights up once you’re within 150 metres.
03
Type or speak your prayer. The words are used once to find broad themes, then discarded, and the beacon glows a little brighter for everyone.
The map comes alive
Your neighbours are praying. Tap a beacon to join them. Here, a day passes in about seven seconds.
A beacon stays bright only while people keep praying there, so the map shows where prayer is alive right now.
Steady prayer warms a place and spreads into the streets around it, until a whole suburb glows on the map.
Gather sparks as you walk. After praying, leave one at the beacon, where its colour glows for three days.
Prayer walks
Shared themes, not words
COVR never shows or stores what you prayed. Instead, each prayer is gently distilled into a few broad themes, like “health” or “families”.
Once at least two other people have prayed at a place, its themes appear for everyone. You see what your neighbours are carrying, and nobody can tell who prayed what.

What people are praying for
More shared themes will appear as the community prays.
Private by design
Prayer text is used once to check for abuse and find broad themes, then discarded. It’s never saved in COVR’s database or logs, and never shown to anyone.
Spoken prayers are transcribed on your iPhone with Apple’s on-device speech recognition. No audio is ever created or uploaded.
Your location confirms you’re near a place when you pray, then it’s discarded. Precise locations are saved only for beacons and walks you choose to create.

Make your own places
Every new place starts private. Mark where you pray for your workplace, your street or your town, and keep it between you and God.
Share a place and people nearby can find it, pray there and add to its light. You’ll hear when someone has prayed at your places, but never who.
Shared names and descriptions are screened automatically, anyone can report a place that’s unsafe or inappropriate, and you can hide everything from a creator with one tap.
